Damn Dog!

Thursday, November 23rd, 2006

I think Bella realizes that I’m going to be leaving soon. I don’t know if it’s because I was chasing her out of my suitcases or if it’s because I keep cuddling up with her when I’m feeling bad about leaving…but she definitely knows what’s going on.

For the past couple of days she’s been a little terror. Normally she’s really good when it comes to going outside to do all of her business. She hasn’t really had an ‘accident’ in the house for quite some time. The one time that she did was because she was sick so she was only mildly scolded for it, so there’s no big deal there. Her new thing is she’s been going on the carpets which has me pulling out the stain remover every few hours. She’s also gone as far as doing some of her business on the couch, which has me more than pissed off.

I realize that this is a temperament issue but she doesn’t ever act like this so I believe my recent absence from the house has quite a bit to do with this. For the past few weeks I’ve been in and out and even for me it’s growing to be a hassle. At this point I’ve basically been gone a week, home two weeks, gone one week, home two weeks, gone one week (leaving tomorrow) and then on the 13th of December I’m going to be gone for three days. I’m not normally like this, I have my comfort zone in the house and never really go away. I hang out with Alicia from time to time and do some shopping here and there to keep myself sane but I’m not usually going from place to place for vacations…you know?

I guess before I leave tomorrow I should throw some stain remover on the carpet for one final cleaning and then let my sister deal with it over the week. Maybe she’ll actually grow out of it because I won’t be around for her to grab my attention in such a cruel way…I don’t know. I’m sure it’ll fix itself.

I believe I landed a big account that I was bidding on. It’s a quick $1600, so that’s something to look forward to. That should solve quite a few of my money issues right now. I told the client there’s a 5 day max work period so once I settle in I’ll be able to get myself setup computer-wise and get cracking. :crosses fingers:

Thanksgiving was ok. I went to my grandmothers house and kept my mouth shut for the bulk of the time because the baby, as usual, had all of the attention. It’s strange though…I’ve seen her go from a 3 day old baby to a now 5 year old chatter box. She’s a very tall kid who’s into like…everything. She’s a pisser though, that’s for sure. My grandmother pulled out a bag of candy for after dinner and my aunt (her mother) was like “What, are you crazy?” my grandmother is looking at her like “Why?” and the baby then said “What are you crazy? I’ll eat the whole bag!” So that turned into the running theme of the night (annoying as usual) but she’s quick with zingers so it’s obvious that she’s a member of this family…no question about that. Either way dinner was good, my other aunt doesn’t really know the concept of “little bit of gravy” because she emptied like two cups worth onto my food I could barely eat it. So I didn’t really get to enjoy it the way I usually would…but whatever.

For now, I’m going to head off. I’m waiting on my laundry to finish drying and the boyfriend is behind me on his laptop working on his own shit. I guess it’s safe to say I’m done with the ‘net for the night considering I have nothing to really do right now…heh.

Casino Royale

Friday, November 17th, 2006

Ever since my trip to the casino for my birthday, I’ve kind of been itching to get myself back to a slot machine so I can brush up on my poker skills. I’ve been looking around for sites that will help me improve on my poker strategy so that the next time I go to Mohegan Sun or even Atlantic City, I’ll have a better grasp on the uber nifty game of Texas Hold’em. The last time I played I did pretty well but as usual when playing I found myself losing more money than it was worth.

So now, I’m looking for ways to help me improve on my skills. I came across this site that offers free poker information on how to play the game. I think it’s a good idea for anyone looking to pick up a card game or two when they’re floating around a casino. Don’t get me wrong, I love my slot machines – star, star, cherry – but this doesn’t mean I’m not addicted to cards either.

I recently purchased a hand-held Texas Hold’em player so that I can figure out what-beats-what without my having to lose any real money. I think that it’ll be a good thing for me considering I intend to get myself up to a casino sometime within the next couple of months. I believe Christie is going to be meeting up with me and the boyfriend, we’re ‘talking’ about heading up there for our six month anniversary. Who knows what’ll happen. Loads of fun to be had at Mohegan Sun.

So Damn Good!

I’m involved with quite a few companies where you get paid for blog advertising. The only company to ever follow through with their payment has been PayPerPost.com.

I logged into my account today to see what was around to post about and I was instantly drawn to my account statistics. I’ve made over $100 from this company, and I know for a fact that it’s the ONLY company to actually pay me for all of my posts. I only had to post 12 blog entries in order to make $108.50 from it. Each post couldn’t have taken me more than 5 minutes to write. So that seriously averages to $100 an hour, god it must be nice to make that kind of money. No wonder lawyers are so greedy with legal fee’s sometimes.

It’s nice to work with a company that gives you everything they promise. I think that’s the real reason I love PayPerPost.com so much. I’m waiting very patiently for them to offer stocks to their users. I’d so cash out of Verizon for them to show my support.

I have to admit that I’m very jealous though. There are earners involved with PPP that have literally made $2,500-$3,000 just for blogging. Maybe if I can get my ass in gear and post a little more often I’ll be able to earn enough through posting to cover some upcoming Christmas purchases…what do you think?

Another cool thing about PPP is the fact that they actually heart me enough to make me one of their featured bloggers. If a company shows that much care in regards to making their postee’s feel like part of the family then how can you not love them? I swear I’m sending them huge boxes of cookies for Christmas. I wonder if FedEx will be able to handle me this year. I have so much to ship out to family around the US that I may just need to rent out a truck and go on a road trip haha.

In any event, back to work I go. I’m trying to configure gallery2 for a client and although I finally have it working I now need to get the CSS to show up properly. My head is seriously spinning right now because of it :ugh:

Later gators!

Eat Me!

Saturday, October 7th, 2006

It’s around midnight here on the island and I have officially hit complete and total boredom. While doing some surfing for blog topic ideas with my typical blog advertising program, I came across a few blogs that basically go out of their way to badmouth PPP.com.

See, I look at it this way:

If you’re someone who puts a lot of work into your blog but will randomly run out of ideas, then what is so wrong with having random topics to post about that you can actually get paid for? PPP is really the only company out there that has a huge database with blog topics to go through. There are a few others out there but you have to wait for them to actually even give you a topic to post. With PPP you can just login, pick something, and blog about it. There’s nothing wrong with it, you’re being paid to advertise a product, program or website which is what a lot of bloggers do anyway.

What the usual “This system is BS” losers are saying is that those involved with PPP are nothing more than spammers. Here’s my take on it:

spam (spm)
n.
Unsolicited e-mail, often of a commercial nature, sent indiscriminately to multiple mailing lists, individuals, or newsgroups; junk e-mail.

tr.v. spammed, spam?Ǭ?ming, spams
To send unsolicited e-mail to.
To send (a message) indiscriminately to multiple mailing lists, individuals, or newsgroups.

There is nothing being sent to anyone, there are no emails going out, and individuals are not submitting their URL to thousands of other websites in order to get their paid post out there. So how exactly are we spamming the weblog community?

I think anyone who isn’t already involved with payperpost.com should either a: Sign up (use krissyville@gmail.com as your referral) and make literally thousands of dollars for yourself (top earner is up to $1700!) or b: shut the hell up about things that you don’t know and simply don’t involve yourself. There’s freedom of speech, fine…but if you make it your lifes effort to go out of your way to be an ass for shockvalue or whatever else is going on in your peabrain then you’re basically useless.

I’ve been paid by this company, every post I’ve made with this company has been accepted and I’m even one of their upcoming featured bloggers because of my loyalty. So basically all I have to say to anyone doubting this program is…well…eat me.

Corporate America

Thursday, September 28th, 2006

It’s been a busy week, I’ve been working on a lot of scholarship essays. I’ve had a client or two come in to pick up business. I’m waiting, almost too patiently, for a few clients to pay up. It’s to the point now of being beyond absurd. One client used to contact me 3 times a day for the last 4 months of working on their project. The minute I send the bill he’s magically MIA. I believe this is the same thing going on with another girl but I’m not too sure on that yet it’s only been a week since I’ve last heard from her. Either way it’s a headache, I have bills to pay too, ya know?

My sister recently applied for a job at a local pharmacy, they called her back and now she just has to take a drug test and then she’s got the job. The problem I have with this company – already – is the fact that when she applied two months ago and listed herself as a Caucasian, she wasn’t called back. She listed herself as a Hispanic and they called her back. I personally see it as a lawsuit, she just sees it as an excuse for benefits. The problem is the fact that I based on what I already know about this store, they won’t honor her benefits anyway. A friend of mine has been there for six months. The first three months he was doing a solid 40 hour week and then magically, the week before he was going to apply for benefits, they dropped his hours and didn’t honor the past 3 months worth of work. But I guess that’s corporate America for you.

She told me to apply for their photo department because they need a day shift, and thanks to my CVS employment I’m certified in Osha so that should be an easy job for me. I just refuse to take it. I shouldn’t have to list myself as anything other than Caucasian just to get a dead end job.

In other news….the PayPerPost team recently stormed “The Today Show” with an absolutely fantastic display of Guerilla Marketing. Unfortunately I didn’t see the show but watching the footage of the show was enough for me to absolutely love these guys even more. I swear other than Newegg this is the only company that I’ll fully support until the day I/it dies! They’re the kind of company that knows exactly what needs to be done in order to get their names out there. If a trip to NY is what it takes to gain exposure, then they’re doing exactly the right thing. In agreement with a comment posted on the entry…yes all the PPP girls are hot, I don’t swing that way but get me drunk enough and I just might. And a note to the boyfriend…you can stop drooling now, if it ever did happen you couldn’t be in the room :nudge:

Repetative

Thursday, September 21st, 2006

I know I’ve repeated myself excessively but are any of you taking advantage of the fact that you can get paid to advertise on blogs? I’ve been paid over $50 from this company and I’ve come across their company blog. Fellow posties for PayPerPost.com have quite a bit to say about how they’ve been paid to advertise on their blogs. What’s really cool about this program is as of today the top earner for this company has made $1,438.21. That’s quite a bit of cash made just to blog.

If you’re at all interested in making a profit like that off your blog, sign up to payperpost.com, use krissyville@gmail.com as your referral…k?

If they like you enough you can be one of their featured payperposters and be featured on their main blog for even more hits to your site. I’d say that’s an even trade, no?

Edit: Speak of the devil, I just got an email informing me that I’m one of the next featured bloggers YIPPIE!! /Edit

Adsense = SCAM!

Monday, September 18th, 2006

There are quite a few ways to make money online. The two big ones that do actually pay you for what you do are AdSense and PayPerPost.com. As some of you know, I had Adsense on my blog for a while. Someone decided to be a bitch and continuously click the links knowing damn well that my account was going to be booted. I was in the $400-$500 range with Adsense when Google banned my account telling me that too many clicks came from the same IP address, and then a whole crap load of other shit that I didn’t care to read. I removed these banners and then switched over to Adbrite, which I’ve only made like $8 from, so they’re basically useless to me as well.

PayPerPost.com has actually given me everything they said they would. So far I’ve been paid over $40 and still have another chunk coming to me in upcoming weeks. I think it’d be a safer bet to go with PayPerPost.com to be honest. There are more than enough topics to choose from and there are members whom have made around $900 with PayPerPost.com. It’s my goal to get up into that range so that I can pay for a semester at Penn Foster, I’ve been saving every bit of money that PayPerPost.com has sent me.

I’m to a point now where I’m going to recommend that you not use Google ads on personal websites. Google is a bastard when it comes to banning accounts. You have to stay under certain percentages and then there’s a whole series of writes and re-writes in their rules that just make no damn sense. They’ll easily ban accounts for not ‘following rules’ which is understandable but they still make a percentage for every click that someone makes through the advertisers links. They’re honestly just like Freepay, I’m waiting for Google to buy them out too…they already desecrated all over blogger.com when they made that purchase. Any blogger.com/blogspot.com users know that the site has drastically gone downhill since Google got their paws on them. They get paid for every click, every referral sign up, the works. There are alot of sites right now that list Adsense as a complete scam, it’s true!

Stick with PayPerPost.com they’ll pay you when they say they’re going to pay you. There are plenty of opportunities and a mass list of sites for you to poke through when you’re looking for something to blog about. Highly recommended, and probably the ONLY pay-to-blog program that will ever be recommended by me.

Business Cards

Saturday, September 9th, 2006

Lately business has been going very well but there’s always something going on in the back of my mind where I wonder just how I could pick up a bit more business. Sure, the money that’s coming in now is nice, don’t get me wrong, but once bills are taken care of that takes about 90% of the money I make during the month. I’d really like to get to a point where it’s more like 40%-50%.

I’ve posted up flyers at a few places in the area but it hasn’t really done much. I know that a few months back Christie posted some up around her school for me, but that didn’t bring anything in at all. I’ve been considering other means and I came across a site that offered free business cards. I checked them out and I think they’re a very good resource for free business cards.

In the process of surfing the site for free business cards, I noticed that it was basically a ‘how-to’ site to creating your own. The cool thing is they also help you in regards to how to get your business OUT THERE. Giving you quirky tips and tricks to get the job done. I think I’d recommend this site to anyone looking for creative uses for cards or just free business cards in general. Too bad they don’t actually give you free business cards but that’s ok because their site really helps you out in general, so I guess that’s all that matters.

Camera Woes

Saturday, September 9th, 2006

I’m still quite a bit pissed off in regards to Freepay taking their sweet time in order to give me my camera. I’m very close to filing a suit against them for fraud considering they were paid by the 15 people that I referred, including myself considering I had to complete three offers before they accepted ONE of them.

Because of this, however, I’ve been looking for Digital Cameras from PCWorld. I’ve found quite a few that I’m interested in. When I do ever get to the point of purchasing a new camera, I’m going to skip all the useless tiny digital shit and go straight to a SLR. I’ve found a few that are 8+ megapixels with everything I could ever dream of, camera wise.

Now, normally I would get a standard 35mm camera from Nikon with black/white film and then develop it myself, like I did in high school. The problem now is the fact that I don’t have a dark room to do any of this stuff in so that kind of screws me up right there. I would kill to have a dark room again so that I could step away from the digital world.

What some people don’t realize with digital cameras is the fact that in order to get the same quality of a 35mm you need to buy a camera that’s 6+ megapixels. Sure, if you’re just taking random small pictures it doesn’t really matter but photography wise, you’d need something ‘high up’ in order to get the same quality.

I just hope that everything straightens itself out.

Weddings and Tables and Plans…OH MY!

Sunday, August 20th, 2006

My friend Alicia is currently in the process of planning her wedding. The date is set for November 30, 2007 but being as it’s only a little bit over a year away of course plans are already being made. She’s been looking for invitations, party favors and plenty of other wedding based stuff. I think that the invitations are probably the most important item in regards to setting the tone of the wedding. Now, I know I’m not getting married but when I get a snazzy invitation I would assume that it’s going to be a snazzy wedding, you know?

A few months ago she had to go to her future sister in-laws bridal shower. This woman is very set in her ways with extravagant items. She had a bridal registry at Bed, Bath and Beyond that was about 4 pages long. I don’t personally see the point but while we were looking around for things to get her, I came across the Table Mate. This is a product that I’ve been eying for quite some time. Ever since I bought my laptop, I’ve been using a corkboard as my ‘desk’ for stability so that I can easily maneuver my mouse and not have to sit at my actual desk day-in and day-out.

I’ve used this table at my aunts house and I have to say it’s really convenient. Being able to set it at different heights as well as bend it down for easy typing, as far as my laptop is concerned, it really worked out well. I found it to be a great thing to have around. It really can hold the weight and still slide easily as well. I wasn’t worried about being top-heavy when I went to push it back while I was getting up off the couch. I’d recommend this product to anyone looking for some convenience in their life. It is probably one of the few “As Seen on TV” items that actually holds up to what it says it’s going to do. I’d also recommend going through TVProducts4Less.com because they not only offer this product for $5 less, but you don’t have to wait 6-8 weeks in order to receive the product either…a great deal I’d say.

The big issue that has come up lately is the fact that Bella has been very timid around people. I’m not sure as to why, but it’s growing to be annoying. She’s spends hours upon hours on my lap and it makes it very difficult to get any work done because of it. I think it’d be easier for me to get things done if I owned a Table Mate. This way, she isn’t on top of my work area and she can still stay in my lap which is something she absolutely insists upon doing.

I guess I have more future purchases to make than I thought…eh?

Auto Cool

Friday, August 18th, 2006

I posted a previous entry which included a short review of a product called Auto Cool. I just wanted to elaborate a little bit.

When I first saw the commercial for it, I figured “Oh look, another over-dramatic – never happened to anyone in real life – commercial for a product that won’t work.” Unfortunately, my father doesn’t think that way – so he went out and bought the Auto Cool (big mistake!). With the warm weekend, I told my father to give it a shot and just park in the sun for a little while. The item itself is a piece of crap. My father had the car parked in direct sunlight (as the directions state) and the fan just barely moved at all. I would not recommend this product to ANYONE. Previously I mentioned the Jeep – a product like this is not meant for anything with a soft top, I don’t care who you are or what you think, or what the direction state – it’s NOT.

We did this on my sisters car. It’s dead so it’s not like we could move it very far. We moved it enough to get it into the sunlight. The car was still so hot that cracking windows didn’t even help. I give the Auto Cool two thumbs down.

As Seen On TV

Saturday, August 12th, 2006

Before going to sleep at night, I usually find myself flipping through infomercials about random As Seen On TV products. The popular ones are for The Magic Bullet, Table Mate, Shed Ender and Auto Cool.

I live in a family of impulse buyers, so some sort of an As Seen On TV product that looks as though it would be worth something, usually means that it’ll be purchased. The only one that I own is The Magic Bullet because I’m addicted to frozen drinks, especially in the summer when it comes to block parties and other events where booze is flying all over the place. My father recently bought Auto Cool and I have to say that it doesn’t work for Jeeps with soft tops, so if you own one – don’t even bother buying it.

There are a few ways to go about ordering an As Seen On TV product. You could go directly to the website listed, the official asseenontv.com website, or you can head on over to tvproducts4less.com where you can find the same items, for cheaper pricing.

Eventually, I know I’m going to be purchasing a Table Mate because it’s a really cool product and having used one before, I know that I will be able to enjoy the product as well. On tvproducts4less.com it’s $3 less. There are other products that are about 50% off as well, so no matter what you’re looking for, you can really find a great deal. I think you should check out this company, you may be very happy with the results.

Coupon Codes

Wednesday, August 9th, 2006

How many of you are aware of the fact that there are coupon code(s) -or- online coupon(s) for everything that you can possibly think of? When I ordered my laptop, one of the first things I looked for were coupon codes because I knew that I’d get some kind of a deal that would help me out in affording my $1400 laptop. I found a few for HP that gave me $50 off. I know it doesn’t seem like much but that $50 went towards my mouse and flash-drive, so although I didn’t ‘save’ money in that reguard, I still got a pretty nice discount.

The next time you’re going to consider making a purchase online, you should really check couponchief.com before you run through the check out. It could save you some money!

PayPerPost.com!

Monday, August 7th, 2006

PayPerPost.com As some of you may or may not know, I’m involved with a Consumer Generated Advertising company named PayPerPost.com. They offer a huge list of opportunities. An opportunity is the way an advertiser presents their need. Each opportunity has a set compensation rate and requirements. Choose only the Opportunities best suited to you.

So basically, you look through their database for posts that jump out at you, you blog about them and you’re then paid for it. How awesome of an idea, right?

If you’re at all interested in earning anywhere from $2 to $10 PER BLOG just sign up for payperpost.com and start posting your hearts out!

I’m involved with a few other companies as far as post ideas are concerned, but they haven’t proven themselves to be legit yet, so I’ll have to hold off on linking them for the time being.

I’ve been working really hard all day and figured it was time to just blog in general because it gives me an excuse to get my eyes off coding websites. I have a new site idea that I think is going to do really well, I just have to create a script for it. It’s taking the same idea that freepay and offercentric uses and that’s all I’m going to say.

Have a good night everyone, and remember – sign up for payperpost.com!

What would you pay someone to do?

Thursday, August 3rd, 2006

Right now there are plenty of advertisers online where you can Get Paid For Blogging. The big question with that is…If YOU had the money, what would you pay someone to do? Would you pay someone to talk to your mother? To do the dishes? To get your haircut for you? If you could pay someone to do something for you what would it be?

When it comes to me, I think I would pay someone to create a robot that’s a direct copy of me. Being home all day, I’m easily aggitated with the fact that I’m trying to work and maintain a house hold. I believe if there were two of me, not only would my boyfriend be happy, but it’ll be easier to get things done. One of me can just be all about work and the other could cover cleaning the house and then do everything else I never get to during the day. Bella is always by my side but I still don’t have enough time in the day to play with her as much as I’d like to. If I’m not working, I’m cleaning and if I’m not cleaning I’m either doing something with the boyfriend or sleeping.

There are other perks to having a clone though. The clone can deal with all of the family events that I never want to be at, while I can be off doing something fun like avoiding the family events and getting away with it. I could be in Vegas and the clone could be waist deep in paperwork.

I think it would be worth the price, honestly. I know there are alot of people who sometimes wish they had a clone. The neat thing about mine it would be a robot. I don’t think I could deal with another person exactly like me. I can just shove the clone in the closet until I need it. Kind of like the vacuum…you know?

So here’s my question to you – and please feel free to post it not only on my comments but in your own blog.

What would you pay someone to do?
