Not sleepy … this sucks!

Monday, April 30th, 2007

I’m having trouble sleeping, if you haven’t already noticed.

We took Bella for a nice long walk, did our two miles so we feel better now. All garbage was put out on the curb, I fed Bella and now I’m just sitting here listening to the TV in the background while I’m surfing the ‘net. I’m tired but not quite tired enough to actually get any sleep. I just turned the air conditioner off because it was starting to get chilly in here. That was probably a pretty dumb idea though. It’s supposed to get up to about 85?Ǭ? today so I think I’m going to wind up switching it back on before I go to bed. I know that the dogs were kind of cold so that’s why I turned it off. Princess is a little bloated because she over-ate today and Bella has a few…err…bald patches…so she was kind of chilly as well.

Maybe I’ll do some more surfing and then go force myself to sleep. It SHOULD work. Worse case scenario I get some work done that I was going to put off until this afternoon considering it would be too warm to really be outside. If I can get it done now, however, it’ll give me more time to plant some seeds.

PICK THAT UP!

Monday, April 30th, 2007

After I vacuum, I get very bitchy about what can and can’t be on the floor. It annoys the hell out of me if someone comes walking through the living room dropping crumbs on the floor after I’d just spent a half hour cleaning the rugs. I know it sounds kind of stupid but I’m just agitated at the moment. We obviously haven’t left the house yet to bring Bella for a walk but that’s irrelevant right now because I just spent ten minutes picking up tiny little pieces of paper. Both Bella and Princess had a field day with a toilet paper roll and now there’s paper all over the living room. Thank god the roll was empty but I can’t wait until I do the final run through the house and dump all the garbage to be picked up tomorrow. If the bathroom were just a little bit bigger, I’d seriously consider getting a larger garbage pale.

Time to go bother baby and get all of this garbage out of here before we walk the dog. There’s no reason to keep coming back in and out of the house if we can just do it all in one swift move and get out of here for our walk. I need to get my shoes on anyway.

Walk the dog!

The internet seems to be back to where it’s supposed to be. It’s still a little sluggish but at least it’s not moving slower than dial-up. They say the average person spends no more than 30 seconds at a page if it doesn’t load right away. I don’t even think I wait that long. I know that if my default website doesn’t boot instantly with Firefox that I have no real reason to even stay on the page at all.

The amusing thing is, now that the ‘net is back up and running, we’re heading out for a little while to take Bella on a long walk. We didn’t get to do our usual two miles last night because she wasn’t feeling well and neither was I considering how strangely I was sitting in the chair all day so my hip was completely out of whack. We’re going to walk around the complex and hopefully it’ll be easier for Bella now that she won’t have everything caked onto her butt. I can’t wait to get her to the groomer, it’s pretty sad that she requires more upkeep than I do sometimes…lol.

Time to get my shoes on, I’m putting the AC on so when we get back to the house I’m not dying anymore. It’s really warm in here for some reason and rather uncomfortable. I have to take a shower before I go to bed anyway, I feel icky. I guess tonight’s going to drag on longer than originally planned…heh.

Oops! My Bad

Monday, April 30th, 2007

My internet connection is really lagging at the moment, to the point of being abnormally strange. I can barely load Google and since there’s nothing on the page, that should typically be an instant load…that’s why so many people use it, you know? I’m trying to go through email but it’s kind of difficult to do when nothing loads.

I attempted to groom Bella myself, it didn’t work out too well. I’m going to have to make an appointment for sometime this week to get her hair done. Hopefully my Paypal card gets here soon because there’s over $500 in the account and I don’t want to have to transfer everything to Wamu just to use my card because I have no other way of withdrawing the money and most groomers are a cash-only business, at least that’s the way it is in New York, who knows what it’s like down here. I did clean up her face a bit, and her butt – so at least she can’t get anything stuck to her. It’s just everything in between that really needs a trim. Her hair is very uneven at the moment and I’m kind of happy that she doesn’t really go past the porch until after dark because she looks HORRIBLE right now. I feel so bad for doing that to her. It was my idea to try to save some money but I just didn’t have the right kind of materials for it. This is one job that I’m going to leave up to the professionals.

Go figure, I can cut my own hair with no problems but I can’t get a 17 pound dog to look good when I groom her. Baby tried to help with his buzzer but it wouldn’t even go through her hair, I think it actually dulled the blade to be honest, so yea – I’m going to have to come up with about $60 and get her done. I just need to get my ass in gear on some more work. I just didn’t want to dip into my Atlantic City fund for her, I was going to wait until afterwards – I just have no choice in the matter I guess.

Back to work I go.

Dying

Saturday, April 28th, 2007

It may only be about 60?Ǭ? but it’s humid as a bitch outside right now. We’ve got the air conditioner on in hopes to cool the place down a bit. :: crosses fingers ::

Baby and I just got back from walking Bella. Thanks to all of the rainfall over the last 24 hours, everything is flooded so she’s soaked to the bone. I really do need to get her to the groomer as soon as possible. I held her down tonight to trim around her eyes so you could actually see her face again. Unfortunately she still looks rather scruffy so it’s about time I get her shaved for the summer. I figured if I could find someone down here that wouldn’t mess her up, the way many groomers have in the past, I’ll get her done every couple of months so that she doesn’t have to go a long period of time with a lot of hair on her. It’ll also help with upkeep considering she hasn’t been feeling well lately and it’s a hassle to wipe her butt down every time she goes outside to poop.

While I did accomplish a lot today, I didn’t get to complete everything I set out to do. I’m actually going to be turning in for the night because I’m exhausted and Baby and I are going to the beach around 5:30. So I’m going to take a quick 2 hour cat-nap just to give myself some energy, then once I get home from the beach…I’m just going to go to bed for the rest of the morning. I don’t particularly like doing that but for the sake of a sun-rise or just a massive high tide (since the storm is over the Atlantic Ocean right now) I figure that’s going to be worth it in the end anyway.

I’m going to finish up a quick email check and then head off.

Night all.

Recalls and you.

Friday, April 27th, 2007

When I first heard about the dog food recall, I have to say that I frantically looked up everything I could find because I was scared into thinking that Bella had eaten the tainted food. I searched all over the ‘net before I could find any real answers to what was going on. While she doesn’t eat wet-food that often, after I moved down here I did stock up on it, this was back in January. So you could only imagine what was going on in my head when I found out that the “chunks and gravy” kind of food that was produced between December 3, 2006 and March 6, 2007 was recalled.

It took me three years before I could find dog food that Bella would actually eat. I think I’ve gone through every single brand of food I could find for her. She’s a very picky eater, so it made it very difficult for me. She’s been through Mighty Dog, Alpo, Science Diet, Eukanuba, Iams and many more. When I found out that each of these products had been recalled, my heart literally skipped a beat. I was lucky enough to not have fed her the Mighty Dog that I stocked up on. She’s been eating table food for quite some time now and after coming across recopies for home-made dog food back in February, that’s the route I’ve taken ever since.

It saddened me to hear that 16 deaths occurred in direct connection to the tainted food. There were also an estimated 5,000-10,000 pets who may also be affected by it. My question is, who’s paying for this? Why should the consumer have to cover vet bills when it was the fault of the company who produced it. Based on an article found on this dog food recall guide, Menu Foods (the company who started this) will take full responsibility and you will be compensated for it. The vet won’t send the bills to them, you still have to keep a copy of all of your vet records and receipts for pet food purchases as well as your vet bills. So basically, Menu Foods is treating this as sort of a mail-in rebate for your dog. I say have the vet send the bill directly to them, but hey – that’s just me.

There is a 133 page PDF file containing ALL dog food that was recalled, 133 PAGES. You never realize how many people are effected by products until you think of the mass production behind things. Right now you’re probably sipping the same drink that 3,000 other people in the US alone are drinking along with you. With numbers like that, especially with animals, it’s pretty scary. I’m glad that Bella wasn’t effected by this, but am truly sorry to everyone who was for such a horrible mistake.

Miles

Friday, April 27th, 2007

Baby and I are doing fairly well on our diet. We’re doing 4 miles, on average, every night. When we can’t get to the beach to walk the boardwalk we just take Bella on very long walks around the complex. I’ve noticed my pants getting larger and I seem to have a lot more energy, I hope this actually does some good.

My sleep schedule has changed to the point of being obnoxious. I’m up all night long and sleeping for most of the morning. I hate doing that because I feel so unproductive but I’m bringing in some good money these days so I guess that counts for something – right?

I need to go back to bidding on some projects, head on over to Jenny’s new site, she changes domains so frequently it’s hard to keep up with her sometimes…heh.

Maybe sex DOES sell?

Thursday, April 19th, 2007

According to the 200+ messages that’s spammed my Inbox for the past couple of hours, I seriously need to consider purchasing Viagra. Based completely on the fact that I don’t have the right parts for Viagra to work, I took the “purchase” end of the deal and now I’m surfing the net for interesting products to keep me happy.

I’m in the process of ordering a new graphics card, I may even buy Bella a new bed. I’m also considering loading up on new towels for the bathroom because Baby insists on using black towels and there are little black lint balls all over the house (white rug, easy to see).

Long Layer, Hair cut.I dyed my hair today because the gray was just shining through and really pissing me off. It didn’t cover the gray as much as I would have liked it to but at least my roots match the rest of my hair again. I’m searching high and low for a stylist because I’m in desperate need of a hair-cut. Since the last tragedy with my hair is now growing out, I’m confident that in the right hands I can get my hair back to where I wanted it to be. I want nice long layers with a touch of highlights. It’s how I’ve had my hair for years and I know, for sure, that there’s got to be ONE person in this entire freaking state that can give my exactly what I’m looking for (image to the left).

So now I’m off to finish my shopping and then I’m going to bother the boyfriend to figure out what he wants to do for dinner tonight. Neither one of us ate today (too busy with other things) so it’d be nice to sit down with him for a little while without having to concern ourselves with work.

Doggie Horoscopes!

Thursday, April 19th, 2007

PPP As many of you may know, I consider Bella to be my absolute pride and joy. For the past three years she’s brought me nothing but happiness and I couldn’t ask for anything more in a dog. People have gone, for quite some time, believing in astrological and zodiac signs. What I wasn’t aware of, at all, was that there are actually dog horoscopes. How freaky is that?

Bella was born on February 2nd, which makes her an Aquarius. Her horoscope for the month:

AQUARIUS – Your pets are very restless this month. They are excited and want new things to happen. They will pester you to pay attention and play with them. They can be a little annoying in their quest to have some fun. Try to be patient and do what you can to keep them entertained. Playing outside now can be very helpful, especially with spring here.

The pretty funny thing is that she’s been like this for the last couple of weeks. She’s been persistant with wanting to be outside and hasn’t really cut me a break as far as wanting attention is concerned.

Her actual sign break down is:

AQUARIUS – This little pet will bring home every other pet in the neighborhood. They love everyone and everything. Once they get the new friends home, it is up to you to entertain them and keep them. They have done their job when they bring in strays. Now you fix them up.

When they are not busy with other pets, they can do very, very strange things. These are the pets of the weird and unusual. Just when you think they are going to do one thing, they change their mind and behave totally differently. Never one for routine, these little guys change their behavior for the fun of it. Where Capricorns were great in school, these guys will defy anything that looks like restrictions, school or anything that might impede their freedom. Don’t keep them restricted too long or they might find the need to leave you and find freedom in the world.

Don’t cuddle and pet them too much for they really don’t like too much closeness. They need their freedom to be the unusual pet they are. Not one for being bored, they will stir up trouble just to see what will happen.

Don’t ever feed them the same thing twice. They will let you know when you have crossed that line and will become very disapproving when you do something that you have done before. Unusual and different are their key words. Being another Air sign they are talkers and very verbal. Look for them to be barkers and pets that express their needs all the time.

This one I’m not too sure about, she’s kind of a cuddler by default but her actions with other dogs is kind of strange. When it comes to the two other dogs in the house she’s kind of the baby-sister/brat of the house. She’ll pick on Candy and she’ll knock Princess over without any real care in the world. She’ll dive from higher places (the couch, chairs, etc) and land right on top of her. Baby thinks she grew up watching WWF Raw, which is strange considering I’ve never even watched anything in relation to the WWF…lol.

So maybe you should all take a gander at these sites and learn some more about your furry friends.

This is a sponsored post.

Creative FUNK

Wednesday, April 18th, 2007

Don’t you hate when things look better in your mind than they do in print? The template I’ve designed for my May theme came out exactly how I pictured it in my head. The problem is – it looks like crap. I think I may fix the logo up and just use it as a freebie or something because there’s really no point in using it for myself. I should probably do that with all of the templates I have saved on my hard drives. I could probably give 200 people unique templates at the rate that I scratch ideas.

I had a pretty busy day. I woke up to Baby asking me if I could throw a turkey in the oven for tonight, it’s been defrosting since last night. The problem is I got the bright idea to turn it into some big deal and basically made a thanksgiving dinner. I had all the fixin’s but since I go overboard on everything, it was overwhelming. Dinner went off without a hitch, or so I thought. Throughout the entire meal I had the itching feeling that I had forgotten something. It wasn’t until 4 hours later when I went to heat up some turkey for Bella that I realized the stuffing was just sitting there uncooked. So…at least I had some validation as to what I was missing. It sucks that I completely forgot about it but we were stuffed beyond belief anyway so I guess it didn’t matter too much. The extra carbohydrates probably would have put us over the edge anyway.

We went to the beach last night, I got to relax a bit even though it was drizzling. It felt like it was raining harder because of the wind but that didn’t matter too much. We decided not to go tonight because we both have a lot of work to do and we’re just too tired to travel considering the turkey and lack of sleep. It would help us with our concentration and since the rain has finished up it would make more sense to go than it did last night but that really doesn’t matter too much to us at the moment. It’s my goal to get some major sleep tonight and since it’s after 12:30, I guess that will be very soon.

For now I’m going to finish what I was doing and maybe get a few posts in or something, I’ll figure it out when it happens. I have to do some interview for <a href=”http://www.pjmommy.com/” target=”_blank” title=”PJMommy.com”>Jenny</a> and then I was selected for some Blog Celebrity thing so I guess I’ll see what that’s about. Who knows, maybe it’ll be something fun – heh.

Just a busy day!

Wednesday, April 4th, 2007

I was finally able to fall asleep around 6:30 this morning. I literally stared at the ceiling for an hour after I crawled into bed. I was then woken up about 11:30 this morning by a very loud crack of thunder, a scared dog and a boyfriend wanting to let me know that there’s a storm outside (if I hadn’t already heard it).

Within two seconds of him opening the door I felt another dog hop up on the bed, Princess was scared and hiding in the office under my desk. Now she’s sleeping next to me and doesn’t seem to want to leave the room for anything. The storm’s been done for the last few hours, it’s about 3 so you can imagine how much fun it’s been.

I watched TV for a little while, it’s nice to just be able to relax in bed for a little bit before you start work. While flipping through channels I came across that movie “Good Burger” with Keenan & Kel, I haven’t seen it in years so I figured I’d just leave it on and go from there. It’s the typical Nickelodeon kind of movie but it was also kind of amusing considering I’d just woken up. Usually when dealing that kind of stupidity just as I get out of bed really bothers me but I assume today was an exception.

I got quite a bit of work done, I sent out a few emails and now I’m sitting here watching MPT because they have a block of shows dubbed “Afternoon Tea” it’s all English comedy that keeps me pretty entertained. I’m seriously a sucker for “Are you being served?” it’s probably one of my favorite shows at the moment. I know it’s been almost 30 years since the show went off the air but it’s worth it.

I’m home alone at the moment. Baby went out to run some errands, I need to take a shower because we’re going out around six to get some other things done. We need to drive down to Georgetown to go to the DMV and on the way home we’re going to head to the Super Wal-Mart and do some shopping. They have cheaper meat there considering Wal-Mart is part of Sam’s Club. Since we’ve been doing so much barbecuing lately there’s really no choice in the matter but to load up on things.

It’s now 3 days before we load into the car and head up to New York, I’m kind of nervous because I haven’t been home in a long time and the only reason for my going up there is to basically pack up the rest of my things and say goodbye to everything I’ve ever known. It’s not like I’m never going back to NY, that’s not the issue. I’ll be back up in June for Dad’s birthday, November & December for holidays and maybe just random trips up to visit. I told Dad that if he was going to Atlantic City or something to let me know. I’m only about a half hour away from it so it’s not like it would be hard to get there for a visit.

I have a lot of shit to do up in NY though, it’s literally going to take me the whole weekend. I have to go through twenty-two years worth of things and compact it down to just a few boxes and space bags. I don’t want to leave things up there that I use regularly so those will be easy to pick out. I know I have to do a lot of junk-clean outs though. I admit to being a pack rat when it comes to sentimental value but I know that I can handle working that out. But once everything is loaded into the van I have to stop at WAMU and close my bank account because there isn’t one down here, then I have to head to the post office and forward all of my mail. Once I get back down here I’ll probably go to either PNC or even Wilmington Trust and open a bank account. Both banks are not even two minutes away from where I am so I’m not too concerned about location, that’s really the only reason I went with WAMU in the first place – it was a hop, skip and a jump away from my house.

I need to finish making my ‘packing’ list and then get myself in the shower, guess it’s time to head off now.

Baths, Work, Internet…OH MY!

Thursday, March 29th, 2007

I’ve been pretty busy today. I landed a client on GAF so that was a bit of quick money, I’m still working on it at the moment. I had to stop for a little while because Bella really needed a bath, badly. It’s been a couple of weeks and since the weather is changing so frequently and going from rain to sun so quickly, she started to get a bit musty. A quick drop in the tub, scrub-a-dub-dub and now she’s baby powder fresh!

I spent the entire day in the house, minus some time spend on the porch to enjoy the sunlight. Baby and I are taking a big trip soon so we’re trying to conserve money any and every way that we can. This means we’re no longer going to be going out as frequently as we’ve been in the last few weeks. I’m sure we’ll randomly take our trips to the beach considering how beautiful it is at night but time away from work is less money to be made so hopefully things will even themselves out. We each need to save up about $1,000 so hopefully I’ll be able to do it over the course of the next month. This is probably why I should get my ass in gear with this clients account so I can move on to the next one.

The internet has been kind of touch and go today though. I’m not really sure why it’s happening, kind of annoying actually. For the last couple of years I’ve been used to having my broadband supplied by Optimum Online, the best in the world…honestly. Living in Delmarva my broadband is now being supplied by Comcast and I have to tell you, I’m not digging it at all. They don’t really offer anything good as far as up-link is concerned. If baby is uploading something it dramatically slows down the Internet and since it’s a VOIP phone connection, the service cuts out whenever you’re on the phone and something is being uploaded, maybe even downloaded for that matter. I swear once things are settled I’m switching over to Verizon as my broadband provider.

It’s been a year…

Thursday, March 8th, 2007

Hearts in Snow Today was the one year anniversary of Joe’s passing. While today wasn’t easy on me, it wasn’t overly difficult either. Joe has his ways of letting me know he’s still around. I strongly believe that the 5″ of snowfall that fell in Delmarva today was his doing. What I wasn’t expecting to see was later on in the evening when I went outside to have a cig.

I’d heard a plow go by about a half hour before to begin clearing up the roads (and they did a crap-ass job by the way). During the course of the day, since anything over an inch of snowfall around here is a “State of Emergency”, there weren’t many cars on the road after work let out. People were smart and basically went home and stayed there. After walking out the door, I looked at the street and saw a strange sign made in the middle of the road. Believe it or not, these were made with tires. I don’t believe they were truck tires, more like car ones (they were kind of thin) but close inspection (slippers are SOAKED because of it) I looked at the sign up close and saw it was definitely done by a tire.

Hearts…in the middle of the road. I’m unsure why they’re there, or even how they really got there. Part of me wants to believe that in some way shape or form Joe did it. This may sound crazy, I honestly wouldn’t doubt that it sounds crazy to someone outside of my daily life but I do believe he’s floating around me and a breeze or the random whiff of “Curve: For Men” out of no where are my tell-tale signs of knowing he’s around. I do believe in ghosts, there’s no doubt about that. I’m happy he’s my ghost. I could be crazy, I may have officially flipped my lid – trust me…it was bound to happen at some point. I just know that there’s no possible way that these were made by hand, there are no foot prints to support a hand-made snow pattern in the road that wasn’t there for the ENTIRE DAY OF SNOWFALL.

In other news, I need clients. Business is extremely slow and something tells me that I’m going to have to bring Bella to the vet sooner than expected. The change in altitude, and the wrong shampoo has caused her to be kind of itchy lately. With this itching comes excessive scratching and she managed to cut her head open and keeps continuing to scratch the same area to the point that the top of her head is no longer blonde, it’s pink. Her scalp is pink and the blood this sore has spurted out onto her little head has dyed her head. She’s also got some strange bumps on her back and I’m unsure where they came from. They feel kind of like…pimples. She’s always had a bump on her stomach, so I never really thought twice about it. Now that she’s got them all over, I’m beyond concerned about it. There’s a vet clinic down here that I can take her to but I seriously can’t afford anything.

This is also putting a damper on my moving plans. I’m finally going back to New York next week (I think?), I hope it’s to just cash a few checks and move within a few days. Sources (well…my gut feeling mainly) is telling me that it will take longer than I’d hoped. Either way there’s a lot of shit to be done and if things don’t begin to pick up soon then I guess I’ll be screwed. I haven’t seen my house in like two months. I’m sure Bella misses my father, she may even miss my sister – who knows. I just know it’s going to be an interesting couple of weeks.

I’ve been surfing careerbuilder.com and monster.com (actively) for jobs in the area so hopefully I’ll find something soon. I have rent and other shit to think about and the money being made from the web stuff won’t cut it anymore. I can live comfortably under my father’s roof because I’m only going half with things. This is full-throttle now, so I’m going to need more income and unfortunately the Internet just won’t be enough for me. Baby is doing really well with his stuff, but I refuse to live off his income. I guess it’s just the way I was raised.

In any event, it’s about 1am and I’m exhausted. I spent most of Monday being sick as a dog so now I’m slowly getting over whatever hit me this past weekend. My nose isn’t runny but I’ve been very dizzy and extremely nauseous so I have no idea what happened. Now I’m basically hacking up a phlegmy lung so I can’t wait until this shit is out of my system.

Night all.

Upgrade

Wednesday, January 24th, 2007

It took me a little while but I’ve got myself setup with WordPress 2.1 now. I originally had WordPress installed manually so I had to install WP2.1 via Fantastico and then move the database over. It took about a half hour to get everything straight but now I’m content with where it all is now. If any of you reading this are on my server, Fantastico now has version 2.1 for WordPress…Tony upgraded this morning for me.

It’s been a busy day. Baby made me breakfast and while I was cleaning up the mess he made in the kitchen…he finally got around to hanging up all his clothes. In about an hour I’ll head into his office and make him clean the rest of his room so we can hang up his pictures and what not. I have to pack tonight because I’m going home tomorrow, it’ll be a LONG drive. I’ll be back here in two weeks. I think I’m going to wind up leaving some shit here…it makes for lighter packing the next trip down.

Bella’s been extra obnoxious the last couple of days. Her new thing now is climbing into the book case and chilling out. She’s also grown acustomed to hopping up on the dinning room table and sitting there so she’s semi eye-level with everyone. Kind of absurd but that’s Bella…right?

I have some work to do so I’m going to head off. If any comments were lost in the last hour, I apologize. They may have written to the old database and not the new one. I was tempted to just remove WordPress all together and then start fresh but after the last year I really didn’t want to lose those archives of Joe…you know?

I’m off…later gators.

I’m alive.

Thursday, February 23rd, 2006

I’m alive (sucks doesn’t it?). I’ve just been so busy with work and school that I can’t think straight. I worked on two big accounts for WordPress themes through GAF. Plus the Stein account and then Focused Pro through Source-1; I’m just BEAT. If I have to look at one more line of code I think I’m going to shoot myself.

It’s taking me a little while but I’m working on moving all of my listings around. So far I’ve got all of the fanlistings moved over to their new addresses and changed over to Enthusiast, which is quite the nifty of programs. I’m slowly working on my hatelistings but that’s because I slacked off on them and have about 600 members to approve (in total) so that’s taking me a while, but I hope to have it done before March. Then I can get my cliques, portals and rings moved over and all will be well again.

The only reason for doing it is because I’m completely wiping out acidgloss.net and starting fresh with my portfolio. Having all of those listings under one set program makes things easier, statistically at least, when I setup the collective section. For now, I’m taking it slow.

Olympus SP-350 Oddly enough I’m getting quite a few valid referrals for the Digital Camera offer even though I’ve been pushing the Notebook Offer. Either way it’s great, so thank you to everyone whom has completed an offer for me, it’s greatly appreciated. With the camera offer you don’t get the choice of money as a prize so I’m going to get the Olympus SP-350. It’s an 8 mega pixel digital camera, more then I’ll ever need but it’s free – so why not?

The stats are:

Olympus SP-350
   * Olympus SP-350 8.0 Mega pixel Digital Camera
   * 3x optical, 5x digital zoom
   * 2.5″ LCD display screen
   * 25MB XD memory card included

Not too shabby – right? I can’t wait to get it. I know for a fact that if anyone touches it I’ll rip their face off. I’ve had BAD LUCK with cameras in the past. I lent my webcam to someone – they broke it. I lent my digital cam to someone, now the flash doesn’t work. This one is going to be put in the safe until I need it. Hmph!

Now for non-internet related.

The weather this week has been horrible, well not horrible but uncomfortable. I like cold weather, but that’s because I know when it gets too cold I’m able to come inside and warm up. Well…our heat is broken so on those nights when it was -2° it was only 35° in the house. Usually I wouldn’t mind that, but when you’re trying to sleep it’s hell. Bella made her attempt at hogging the covers and even then wound up dragging a blanket under the bed with her. Which was probably only a little bit warmer considering the heat downstairs is working fine. It’s just OUR apartment though, it sounds as though the waters moving through the radiator, there’s just not enough pressure behind it for any good amount of heat to come through. It’s just my hope that it’s fixed eventually. I can only sleep with so many blankets before I feel like something?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s crushing me.

I’ve started with the room remodel. I did some poking around Home Depot the other night and picked up some color samples for the wall. I went through the carpet section to find a nice texture and so far I’m pretty happy with what I’ve chosen. I just need to get the money together and go pick it all up. I’ve already rearranged my room. I got sick of looking at the wall and really wanted to see the seasons change. It’s also nice to be able to look out the window without having to get up. I’m nosey like that. If all goes well everything should be complete within the next month or so. I’m pacing myself because although its something I really want to do, it’s not on the top of my priorities list because it’s not something that I NEED to do…you know?

In any event, it’s almost 2am and I have to be up at 8 so I’m going to head off…night everyone.

Can’t f*cking concentrate!

I joined another ‘freebie’ site. This one gives you a high end computer or $700, so of course I’m going for the $700. If you’re interested, please click here and sign up let me know if you’ve completed an offer and I’ll give you a domain/hosting or $10. I also still need 7 valid referrals for the $1,140 / Notebook so sign up and get a free domain/hosting or $10 there too. Sign up for both and I’ll give you both a domain AND $10, not too shabby – right?

I’m supposed to be working, but for some reason I can’t concentrate. It’s a big account too so I really don’t know what’s keeping me from being motivated to do it properly. I don’t want to do a half-ass’d job either. It’s really very simple though, I just have to resize some images and update some sidebars. The job itself would take me maybe ten to fifteen minutes, tops; I just can’t do it.

I woke up not feeling very well, and I’m not sure why either. My headache has gotten worse, my nose has been bleeding on and off all day and the only cavity I have is really aching today. I have no insurance, or money to spend on a dentist so I’ve been eating aspirin like candy. I think once I do get work completed I’ll go a head and just go back to sleep. If I don’t wake up, oh well.

After weeks of it not feeling like winter, it?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s cold again. I’m rather happy about it actually. However, this weekend we’re expecting some massive blizzard to hit. New York is expected to get anywhere from six to twelve inches of snow. Which I guess isn’t too bad considering I have no where to go, but that doesn’t mean I’m happy about it. Being as I know for a fact that I’ll be the only one outside shoveling. Wind gusts are supposed to be up to forty miles per hour and that just makes shoveling a bitch because I know ten minutes after the deck is cleaned off it’ll all be put back. Can’t you just tell I’m anticipating this one?

I’m a horrible mother, even though in reality I’m not really a ‘legit’ mother. I was confusing dates for some reason and thought that Bella’s birthday was on February 12th. I checked her birth certificate and it turns out I was about ten days late. Her birthday is on February 2nd. I really don’t know why the 12th was sticking out in my mind. However, I do know that I feel horrible about it. I have spent every single day with her for the last two years and I still couldn’t remember her birthday. I’ve made it up to her though, I bought her a bone that’s a little bit bigger then her and she’s been chewing on it for the last couple of hours. Tomorrow I’ll let her bury herself in a snow bank (she LOVES the snow) and there’s my pay back for it.

I know you’re probably sitting there thinking “This chick is nuts!”, no I’m really not. Animal lovers do strange things for their pets. At least I’m not dropping 3g’s and renting out a place for her and her pup-friends to have a party like some stupid people do. I just drop $15 on a bone and boom – she’s taken care of.

I think my reason for thinking of the 12th was because of Alicia’s dog. I know they were born very close to the same time and there’s a chance that the 12th is Cuddelz’ birthday. We purchased both dogs the same day, from the same store. They aren’t the same breed, two completely different litters. Bella’s a Lhasa Apso, Cuddlez is a Shih Tzu. Although at some point in time they both stemmed from the same breed, they are two completely different dogs in the long run. Physically Lhasa’s tend to be smaller, have silky/soft hair and have more of a defined nose. Shih Tzu’s have flatter faces and in some cases coarse hair.

I know, I’m rambling and I’m kicking myself for having enough energy to post here but absolutely none to get any work done. I think I’m going to have a cig and then come in to turn everything off so I can sit down to concentrate on this damn account. I think after that I’m just going to kick back and relax for a little while. Tony’s doing rather well on keeping the servers maintained on a daily basis so I get a little bit of a break when he’s around. He’s on the clock until 5pm (PST) so I know that I have until 8pm (EST) to relax. YAY for Tony!

In any event, I?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢m off.

Enjoy your weekend everyone.
