Home Financing

Sunday, July 22nd, 2007

While I’m not someone who’s really into real estate, I can say that I’m someone who likes to get the most out of my investments. I consider purchasing a house in the next year to be a major investment, naturally so I’m going to make it a point to be on top of everything in regards to not only mortgages but just home financing in general.

I came across dragonfi.com after searching for home financing Florida on Google. Naturally I’m not going to be moving down to Florida but knowing what houses go for down there I was just interested to see what was going on. Dragonfi claims to be home financing with wings. The company was created with their customers in mind and it’s easy to use them because they’re lenders, not brokers. They’re a full service home financing enterprise with the capability of funding loans up to $8 million with no catches or craziness involved. Now naturally I’m not looking to take out an $8 million dollar loan because I’d not only be rejected for that amount but even if I were approved my great-great-great grandchildren would be the ones paying it back. Unless I was bringing in about $1 million per year then this just isn’t something that I consider to be possible.

I did some reading around their website and the thing that kind of drew me in for them is the fact that they understand home buying is an intense and personal experience, while any business is mainly about the money, they aren’t going to push unneeded and unwanted resources in your direction and tell them that they’re good for you. They’re going to walk you through the process – step by step – and insure that you fully understand everything that’s going on. They believe in truth in numbers. All customers are given real facts and real numbers right from the beginning.

If you’re looking into more information about this company, head over to dragonfi.com or call up William Cox @ 888.88fi-fly

Damn, that hurt

Sunday, July 22nd, 2007

I came very close to throwing my back out while I was washing the hair dye out of my head. I don’t like hanging over a tub because I’m used to just leaning down over the sink. It always bothered me but a few moments ago it was to the point of screaming intense pain. I don’t even have all of the soap out of my hair, I’m waiting on Karen to take a shower so she can get herself ready for work tomorrow then I’m more than likely going to hop in the shower and finish the job.

I can barely move though, doubt this is going to go very well.

Planning a party?

Sunday, July 22nd, 2007

I don’t know about you but something I really enjoy is planning a party for friends/family members. If I happened to be in New York for the past couple of months I would have probably had a hand in planning a shower for my friend who is about a month away from giving birth. It’s her first child and she’s so happy about being a mother that the glow on her face could light up a room.

She’s having a girl so I’ve kind of been poking around on sites like partypail.com looking for extra cute and extra girlie baby shower decorations. I just wish that I could actually give her the party but our friend seems to be handling everything. Kim doesn’t know about the party itself, but thank god for AIM or I wouldn’t know anything going on with these people anymore! I’ve always been a fan of cute little ducks for some reason so when I came across this Baby Duckie Baby Shower theme I almost instantly bookmarked it, I sent it over to Jamie first – naturally. She fell over too heh.

Dying my hair.

Sunday, July 22nd, 2007

Unfortunately the gray in my hair has come back with a vengeance and I had no choice but to get myself back on track with dying my hair. For many years now I’ve always had it done for me. I lived in a house hold filled with beauticians and my family also runs their own cosmetics business so naturally it was easy for me to tap into these resources. I don’t think I’ve ever paid for a hair cut or to hide my gray hair.

My first gray hair showed up at the age of four. I’m not sure why but from there it’s kind of ballooned into a new bunch of hair every few months would just pop up out of no where. Family claims it’s stress related but what does a four year old really know about stress? By the time I was 14 I was more than half gray, spending countless hours in a chair each month to cover it up for the last 8 years has been nothing more than horrible but at 22, the last thing you want is to have more gray hair than your 60 year old father.

So today I went ahead and threw some dye in, instead of my usual dark brown I punched up the color with a bit of purple and now as I’m typing this, I’m ‘cooking’ so to speak. I have about 10 minutes before I need to wash everything out, I figured I’d get a little bit of work done in the process.

I’m doing what…where?

Saturday, July 21st, 2007

I think the one thing I hate the most in the world, and anyone who knows me can vouch for this, is disorganization. I like to be able to walk into a clean house and when it comes to things like cleaning and laundry I have a system that I like to work with. It’s folded the second it comes out of the dryer and then goes into a laundry basket and straight back to the room. There’s no reason for something to just sit there for longer than maybe 15-20 minutes. Again, this is just how I’ve done things for many years.

So you can imagine my surprise when I found out that my new washer/dryer setup was located in the garage. I’m used to it being inside in it’s own little room and completely out of the way from bothering anyone. Knowing that I’m now in a garage doing everything has had me a bit annoyed because there’s so much crap in there that you can barely move, we’re in serious need of some storage cabinets and maybe with a clean-out of the garage we could actually, I don’t know, fit the car in there? It’s being used as a storage room and if that’s the case I don’t know why we can’t take the big bulky door off and turn it into an actual usable room considering it’s a two car garage – that’s a huge extension on the house that could be used instead of abused the way it is now!

Still kind of ‘blah’.

I’m still not feeling that great in regards to the family related issues but at the same time it is my anniversary I should at least get off my ass and enjoy the day with my fiance, you know?

Last night, before going to sleep, we took a quick trip to Super Fresh and picked up a few items for dinner tonight. I told him that since his gifts never got here that I’d make him dinner for our anniversary so he could pick anything he wants. He jokingly said that he wanted duck but there was no way in hell I was cooking one of those. He then went on to say chicken fried chicken with the white gravy the way they make it at Cracker Barrel and I said “Sure, no problem”. I picked up some chicken, potatoes and other veggies so that there’s at least something on the side of the breaded chicken. I don’t deep fry anything, I refuse to, so I’ll throw some plain breadcrumbs on the chicken and pop them in the oven in a little while. The problem now is that he wants mashed potatoes and those take a while to boil, so I’m going to hop on that now and hopefully we’ll be eating dinner by 9pm :sigh:

Private Education Loans

Saturday, July 21st, 2007

During my continuing search of getting back into school I’ve come across many websites for loans and just other college related resources in general and none of them have really helped me out. Today, for example, I came across a website that offers Private Education Loans to students attending schools basically all over the country but what is really digging at me is the fact that even newer resources aren’t working with internet related schools. I know that there are full fledged colleges out there that offer an online way of taking the classes, there are also quite a few out there who are complete frauds, something I found out the hard way.

I did find a school of interest, I’m doing some more research on it though, unfortunately the entire tuition cost is going to run me in the $50,000 range. I’m completely eligable for a loan, don’t get me wrong, but most of the companies I’ve came across won’t bother to give me one because they feel internet related schools are a risky thing to invest any kind of money in. There are also a few where the loans never actually enrolled the student into school, the school ‘lost’ the check even though it was cashed. I can understand the loan offices not wanting to lose their money but why can’t they just take a chance on someone who’s got a full time job and still wants to get back into school to get her bachelors?

It’s a boy!

Saturday, July 21st, 2007

A completely useless resource that I hate the most in the world is AIM Mail, something my sister is fully aware of, but she still insists on sending messages through that address just because she can’t ‘remember’ my email address. It took me a few days longer than I would have liked but I received some pictures that I’ve been waiting on for a while now.

My aunt has been in the hospital for the past month due to complications with her pregnancy. Around her 7th month the baby decided that he wanted out, and badly at that. For the past month she has been in the hospital and after 3 blood transfusions due to hemmraging, they finally decided that an emergency c-section was more than necessary. A very difficult 6.5lb baby boy finally made his appearance.

This is my aunts second child but in actuality I believe it’s her fourth. She suffered two miscarriages before she had her daughter and even that was a difficult pregnancy. She’s been on bed rest with this pregnancy for quite some time now but to hear my sister telling me that she’s been in the hospital for the last month having serious complications is nothing more than heart wrenching.

I’m not sure when I’m actually going to meet my new cousin. I’m not going to say Christmas because I know for sure that I won’t be traveling up there on Christmas day and I’m positive that by the time I do get up there, everyone will be off doing their own thing. Thing is, even if I was actually in New York I doubt I’d ever see anyone anyway based on work schedules and the fact that no one really includes anyone on anything these days, for some reason.

Based on the pictures I’ll say he’s a cute kid but at the same time I was looking at the people surrounding the baby. My aunt looks horrible but a month in the hospital will do that to you I guess. My grandmother has lost quite a bit of weight since I last saw her and my grandfather looked very proud to have his 7th grandchild but at the same time this strange feeling came over me knowing that while he may be very happy about this grandchild, he’s also battling cancer at the same time.

This kind of sucks because all of these emotions are hitting me on my anniversary with Sean. I want to be happy right now, I’m with the man I intend to spend the rest of my life with but the family shit is really just hitting me really hard.

New Resource: Goth Singles / Goth Dating

Saturday, July 21st, 2007

A few days ago I posted about an online dating resource that I found rather interesting. Today, I came across a new one that was equally as interesting to me. This site is in full dedication to goth singles, located at gothscene.com. If you’re living the Goth lifestyle than it’s understandably going to be kind of hard to find someone who you’re compatible with. There are goth based clubs and groups all over the US but when you hang out with the same group of people for too long you’re naturally going to be looking somewhere else. This site is here for anyone in the goth dating scene looking to meet new and interesting people that share the same kind of interest as you. This site is completely free, you sign up and post your profile and from there begin meeting new people. You should check it out. gothscene.com.

The Law of Attraction

Friday, July 20th, 2007

I’m the kind of person that believes you reap what you sew, you get what you deserve, and you bring it upon yourself. I know it may seem harsh but it’s also the law of attraction. Take ex-boyfriends or ex-girlfriends, for example, you tell yourself that you keep attracting losers and then in the end, you actually do because your aura signal calls to the losers before the good guys. This isn’t my topic though.

I’ve once witness a woman, under 100lbs, being beaten senseless by 3 people. When the girl was done with her the two boys began pouncing off of her chest. I knew this woman, but even watching this happen right in front of me, I froze and did nothing about it. It wasn’t the whole “Uhm, what just happened?” it was the three years of wishing someone would just smack this woman in the face to get her to change her ways. I don’t know if it was my wishes that brought this on, even though she’s the one who was running her mouth to even start the fight, but I don’t regret not helping her either.

Call me cruel, but if you actually met this woman you’d feel as though she’d deserved every single ounce of this beating. She’s cheated on her husband, left her children by themselves for days on end with no food in the house because she was too busy with her alcoholic boyfriend, being an alcoholic herself she was never able to take the blame for anything she did and she swore she could get away with murder. She talked her way out of tickets when it came to DWI but that’s because she was the little woman in the slutty clothing and managed to weasel her way out of it. The only documented tickets for anything DWI and DUI a like were based on women pulling her over who were smart enough to not care about the outfit but get the ass hole behind the wheel put in jail. She then used her ex-husband to keep her out of jail. Is it wrong that I feel she deserves to be there for at least a year? She’d be sober and after she’s beaten down a few more times from the long-timers, then maybe she’ll smarten up a bit.

What happened next is kind of strange though, this is continuing with the “you bring it upon yourself” stuff. I haven’t ever been effected by this in regards to karma, maybe I’m pending on the list – who knows. The people who beat her down, however, one was shot in the chest and killed almost instantly. The other was sent to jail on other charges, not even in relation to this one because the police claim that she was too drunk to know for sure that she was actually beaten up. The third killed for drug money. I just find it strange that (in my head at least) somehow managed to merge these four people together to the point of them officially getting what they all deserved in the end.

Does this make me a medium for karma or something? Or was it just plain luck?

Three drug bastards off the streets and a drunken whore completely out of my life. I’d say that worked in my favor.

New Resource: FitnessDating

Friday, July 20th, 2007

PPPI came across a fitness / health resource today that was out of the ordinary. It wasn’t telling you how to lose weight or how many laps around the track burn off 1,000 calories a day. It’s a site for people who already know this information and is entirely based around fitness, just adding it into the world of using the internet for serious or casual dating in the process.

It’s got the same setup as your typical dating website but it’s entirely based on fitness dating. The basis of the site is not to have people just meet up at the gym at work out together but naturally considering you are posting a fitness personals you may wind up doing that. This is for those who seriously care about fitness and are looking for someone with the same respect for fitness. It’s a completely free site to sign up for. Like every dating site you enter your name, age, location, upload a photo and list your preferences. Then you can float around the database for people who share the same preferences as you, get to talking to them and go from there.

If you’re interested in fitness and looking for that special someone for either casual or a serious dating relationship, maybe even just someone new to work out with, head on over to fitnessdates.com.

Way behind.

Friday, July 20th, 2007

I want to apologize to anyone who’s commented in the last few weeks. I know I haven’t returned the favor and that’s mainly because of how busy I’ve been. It’s my goal to get around to doing that this weekend, I have it written on my to-do list. I have about six pages to go through so I’ll be sure to get that taken care of as soon as possible.

I’m also behind on approving members for fanlistings/hatelistings PLUS there are over 200 pending sites for AGn Listings, I’ve also got that marked down on my list as well. I have some other more important things to take care of before I start approving members, this is why it’s fairly low on the weekend list. The commenters, however, are in the #2 spot so expect to hear something from me soon. Again, very sorry about it!

This has only come up because of a recent, rather nasty, email from someone who commented on my site a few times in the last week and went on to mention that I’m a ‘jack ass’ for not even bothering to go to hers. So, by default she won’t be visited but everyone else will. 🙂

Resources: Celebrity Gossip

Friday, July 20th, 2007

PPP I’m honestly not a huge fan of the whole media world but I have been known to surf around a few celebrity gossip based sites that house everything from celebrity news to celebrity pictures. I’ve been visiting celebritygossip.com for a while now and it never ceases to amaze me about the kind of information these people come across on a regular basis.

I will admit that it can be kind of annoying whenever you turn on the television and all you hear about is Lindsey Lohan and Paris Hilton, their site also offers the same thing but they actually talk about other people as well, because you know – Lindsey and Paris aren’t the only freaking celebrities in the world – contrary to popular belief.

If you’re interested in reading more about celebrities, information that you’re not going to see on your nightly dosage of E! News, then head on over to celebritygossip.com.

Much needed relaxing evening

Friday, July 20th, 2007

We wound up ordering out for dinner tonight because I’d forgotten to take some stuff out of the freezer to defrost so pizza seemed to be the only option. So while I sat here and got some work done, answering emails and what not, Sean went out to pick up the pizza and on his way back got the mail to find out that “Out to Sea” a movie he’d put on his blockbuster queue a while ago, showed up tonight. We plopped down in front of the TV for a few hours, enjoyed our pizza and laughed our asses off at the movie. Now it’s a little after midnight and we’re both back in the office getting some work done, well – I’m mainly starting on work for when I wake up in the morning. He just does what he does whenever he can, basically.

It’s my goal to at least get a PSD together for another template to put up on blog ideas. I’d like to have maybe four or five big templates – I don’t want to just hand out crappy CSS ones that are quick and simple for someone. I want them to have some kind of a style to them that isn’t really found on freebie templates, and trust me I’ve looked through many databases in order to know the route I’m going to take with these. I should probably boot up photoshop and get to work.

Resources: The Cover Guy

Friday, July 20th, 2007

PPP When I buy my own house it’s important to me that the outside looks just as wonderful as the inside. Call it the interior designer in me but I do have many tricks up my sleeve, mixed with a budget, that will have me very happy with the way things turn out. One important thing for the outside of the house is landscaping, all aspects of it. The grass won’t be cut by the dorks who handle this community. I’ll gladly pay someone to come back once a week but I want to make sure that everything is done right. They leave approximately 4 inches of grass, meaning their blades don’t even touch the ground. That’s unacceptable to me so I’m going to pull out the white pages and ask around about the best people to go through.

A big thing for me, outdoors, is a porch. I’ve been used to having a rather large deck for the bulk of my life. I enjoy having a lot of room that isn’t on the grass to just relax in. Yes, grass is great and all but the last thing I want to do is sit on grass that’s wet from morning dew just so I can tan. Sean and I have drawn up a few plans here and there about how we’d like things to look and one thing we agreed upon was a built in gas grill and a spa, naturally we’d have to invest in Hot Tub Covers to avoid waking up with animals or children floating around in there. A beautiful deck doesn’t mean you have to skimp on safety, you know?

TheCoverGuy.com I did some surfing around the net and came across thecoverguy.com, they offer a five year warranty with their product and the covers can withstand harsh climates and it helps cut energy costs for running the spa because it keeps the heat in. They’re recognized as the number one hot tub cover or spa cover company in the industry and they deliver to all over the US and Canada.

They have some pretty nice looking covers too. They’re priced in the $300 range but that’s not half bad considering the spa would cost in the $3,000 range anyway. I’m not talking about purchasing some huge spa that can hold 10 people, granted it would be nice to have all of that room to relax in but I also do intend to have a pool if there’s enough room in the back yard for it. I’m just a picky person and know that I’m going to get everything I’m hoping for since I’m going to be working my butt off to get it. I’m not the type who’s going to sit back and spend my husbands money, I’m going to earn it myself, more than likely have a hand in building it and then going from there. But hey, that’s just me.

Very, very close.

I’m close to completing another theme. I’m still working on getting hemmingway to work on the first one I was working on but for some reason I came across a color scheme today that I fell in love with and then decided to play from there. I’m also going to go back and alter the templates so that there’s the option for two or three column, I know quite a few people are using three columns more now than in the past considering how much stuff main pages are being loaded with. I’m aware of the fact that there’s something on my sidebar that’s slowing down the loading time but trial and error hasn’t come up with much. I do believe that the blog rolling boxes have something to do with it though.

I’m running out of ideas for themes though, what colors would you like to see on a free template that you haven’t before?
