Growing up on Long Island you didn’t hear much about paint ball, I don’t even think there was a place to go to in order to participate. Once I got down here, I noticed an over abundance of shops with paintball supplies, I found myself very interested in this.
We wondered into one of the stores one day and were looking around the cases and I found the TippmanX7 and fell in love, almost instantly. This gorgeous piece of paintball markers is about $430 but there are other places where I can find it for cheaper, that’s the beauty of the internet.
Behind this store was a field covered in more paint than I’d ever seen. They run an active paint ball war zone type of deal that’s open to the public and used rather frequently for those traveling down here in the summer. I don’t quite understand how they can run around in the heavy gear during the summer but more power to them.
We tried it out and I had more fun than I thought I would. I beaned him in the leg a few times. He beaned me back though, thankfully it hit the safety gear. Tuck and roll! It was a lot of fun though, I can’t wait to do it again. I’ve already told him that we’re going to have to setup our own war zone in the backyard and make all the neighbors get involved too…heh.
I wish I could get my girlfriend to come out paintballing with me. You go girl!
