Cleaning Binge!

I’m not quite sure why but whenever I’m at the boyfriends house (and I’m supposed to be relaxing) I always find myself wanting to clean house. There’s a lot of things that need to be done around here. The Christmas lights are still hanging outside, the living room could use some straightening up, same goes for the dining room, kitchen, his bedroom and the bathroom. He claims that I want to do too much but what he doesn’t realize is my drive to constantly keep moving is based entirely on the fact that it’s what I do (excessively) at home.

I’m waiting, patiently, for the boyfriend to get out of his room so we can start cleaning house. He left a note for his mom that he wanted to pick up shelving and what not from Home Depot today but I assume she wasn’t overly interested considering the note was erased and the pad was put back on the fridge. This doesn’t mean we can’t start everything else though. I should probably go and get on his butt about it. I know he just woke up but it’s easier to start working earlier on in the day so that by the end of the day everything is spic-n-span and then you can just sit back and relax…you know?

For the past few days I’ve been in the mood for Chinese Food. Now, this is coming from someone who isn’t a huge fan of it…mainly because it’s the reason that I needed the root canal considering the broccoli broke my tooth. Last night the boyfriend sweetly attempted to humor me and brought me to this place named Confucius. This, unfortunately, didn’t work out very well. I’m a typical American Chinese Food eater. I’m not really into duck and I’m deathly allergic to sea food. We first noticed how nice the place was, we were seated, ordered some soda and then opened up the menu. This, unfortunately, is something we should have done FIRST. The menu had NOTHING on it of interest to either one of us and we also noticed that the cheapest dish on there was $20. I’m sorry but there’s no way in hell dinner is going to cost over $40 for us if we’re not even happy with the food…you know?

We left there and headed over to the mall because there was this Chinese Buffet there it was like $8.50 a person, drinks included, they also had a lot more of a selection so of course this was a much better choice. This was until we opened the door to the place and I was almost knocked on my ass. The smell of fish wasn’t just located at the buffet, it was soaked into the walls and there was no way in hell that I was going to be able to sit there and eat. So I put my Chinese Food craving to rest and we headed over to the safety…Friendly’s. He enjoyed Chicken Fingers, I enjoyed a Turkey Supermelt and then we finished the meal off with a Reeses Pieces Sundae…a weakness for both of us. All in all I can say it was a fairly decent night.

We headed over to Wal-mart because I was in the mood to do some shopping. I picked up a new shirt, a purse, socks and a watch. I was looking to get a pair of pants and a new pair of sneakers but unfortunately there was nothing of interest there for me. I still managed to spend around $80 either way so I guess I can’t say the trip was a total loss. I bought the boyfriend a case for his iPod because I know it’ll get scratched at some point in time so this is more of an?¢‚Ǩ¬¶avoidance. I also got his mom a new remote for the living room TV because the one that came with the TV is so damn small it’s easily lost in the couch (or under a dog). It also works with the DVD player in here so at least that solves some lazyness issues with the boyfriend?¢‚Ǩ¬¶heh.

Towards the end of my shopping spree I came across the seasonal isle which contained quite a bit of Valentine’s Day Gifts. There were bears, candy, romantic games, hot sauces (for whatever people use those for). Heart shaped picture frames, squeeky toys that say random things. I know that the holiday was created mainly by the candy or toy companies but it’s still nice to receive a special Valentine’s Day Gifts from the one you love, you know? I made it a point to drag him down the isle and pointed out a few things that won’t fly with me if he was interested in giving them. He says he’s gonna plan something special so I guess we’ll see what’s going to happen there. It’s only a month away.

In any event…he finally came out of his room so I’m going to ride his ass to get him to start helping me to take shit down and clean up. I figure while he’s outside taking the lights down I can work on getting the living room started and by the time he’s done…all that’s left is the dining room and the kitchen…nifty, eh?

It’s so hard to find good chinese food! Half the time it has MSG in it aswell – I prefer Thai food; usually less greasy… I just stopped by AGn Solutions, it looks so good! When did you revamp it? Hope all is well.

I love Chinese food… well just about all Asian foods. But you’re right, most Asian food places around here are “Westernised”, because we can’t handle the real stuff! lol

Wow!! V-Day stuff’s already out?! America loves their holidays! We don’t have anything V-Day-ey up yet.
I hope you get something good 🙂

    Good luck with cleaning!
